Zaudín Golf, Gary Player's firts desing in
Spain for 20 years, opened in 1993. It is only a
short drive from the centre of Sevilla and offers
some marvellous views of the city. The parkland
layout throught groves of olive, orange and palm
trees festures wide fairways punctuated by two lakes
which form natural hazards at several holes, including
the par-four 17th, a dogleg rigt where the green
is almost completely surroended by water. Player
considers this one the most beautiful holes he has
created. The 3rd hole is difficult. And at the 492-metre
4th, the longest on the course, you should be careful
that your tees shot stays well clear of the bunkers.
The four sand traps guarding the green at the par-five
12th with its dogled right are also firmidable.
There are 70 bunkers on the course so that the greens,
although large, are extremely well protected. The
well-equipped clubhouse is a Sevilla-style "hacienda".
pasen bien.
