
La Cañada was the first municiple course
on the Costa del Sol. The course was designed by
Robert Trent Jones, who also designed other courses
in the area such as Valderrama and Real Club de
Golf Sotogrande. Situated high above Guadiaro, a
town that proportionally presents the highest number
of amateurs in Spain, it offers very well maintained
greens, an important variety of autochthonous trees
and the glen on the 9th hole wich gives name to
the golf course.
La Cañada es el primer campo de golf municipal
de la Costa del Sol. El diseñador del campo
es Robert Trent Jones, quien tambien diseño
los vecinos de Valderrama y Real Club de Golf Sotogrande.
Se caracteriza por sus greenes muy bien cuidado,
una importante arboleda a base de especies autoctonas
y la cañada del hoyo 18 que da nombre al
campo.
